New York City


New York City is the most populous city in the United States and one of the major global cities of the world. The city's business, financial and trading organizations play a major role in the economy of the nation and of the world and contribute to the largest regional economy in the country. The city is also one of the world's most important cultural centers and is the home of the United Nations.

NYC has a population of 8.1 million within a land area of 321 square miles (830 km), making it the most densely populated city in North America. With a population of 18.7 million, the New York metropolitan area is also one of the largest urban areas in the world.




Chicago is a major city in the U.S. state of Illinois. The city is the largest in the Midwest, and with a population of nearly three million people, Chicago is the third-most populous city in the United States.

Chicago is located along the southwestern shore of Lake Michigan and is a major center of transportation, industry, politics, culture, finance, medicine and higher education. Chicago is informally called the "Windy City".

Today, Chicago is the financial, business, and cultural capital of the Midwest.




The city of Orlando is located in Orange County, Florida. The city is best known for the many tourist attractions in the area, particularly the nearby Walt Disney World Resort. Other area attractions include SeaWorld and Universal Orlando Resort. Despite being far from the main tourist attractions, downtown Orlando has recently seen much redevelopment, with many more projects currently under construction or planned.

Orlando sees an estimated 52 million tourists a year. Orlando is the 2nd largest city in the country for number of hotel rooms.




The City of Toronto is the largest city in Canada. Located on the northwestern shore of Lake Ontario, the city has a population of 2.48 million. As Canada's economic hub and a major global city, Toronto has highly developed finance, telecommunications, transportation, media, software production and medical research industries.

The city is home to the CN Tower and a majority of the country's corporate head offices and transnational corporate offices.

Because of its low crime rates, clean environment and generally high standard of living, Toronto is consistently rated one of the world's most livable cities.


Washington D.C.


Washington, D.C. is the capital city of the United States of America. Washington is also a major national center for the arts, with many venues for the performing arts in the city.

Arena Stage, one of the first not-for-profit regional theaters in the nation, is rich with history and produces an eight-show season ranging from classics to world premieres. The Shakespeare Theatre Company is regarded as one of the world's great Shakespeare troupes. Numerous other professional theaters, such as the Studio Theatre and Woolly Mammoth, and venues such as the National Theatre, make the city a major theater center.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts hosts the National Symphony Orchestra, the Washington National Opera, the Washington Ballet, and a variety of other musical and stage performances.
